Port Forwarding

If you ever have your modem/router reset or have a replacement installed, you will need to do port forwarding within the modem/router to enable remote access from your cell phone or tablet.

Please have a copy of your receipt available, as you will need the ip address of the dvr and the ports (typically 80, 8080, 8000, and 8554) that will need to be opened. You will also need the system user name and password for the modem/router. This is usually located on the side or bottom of the modem/router. Click here to find the default username and password for most brands.

Choose the provider or brand of modem/router that you have from the list below:

Frontier/Verizon Fios (Actiontec MI424-WR)

AT&T Uverse

AT&T DSL (2Wire)

Charter (SBG6580)

Comcast (XFinity)

TP Link
